Blake Coleman is old enough to know that acting on impulse causes nothing but a heap of trouble. But when trouble's a western-hat-wearing blonde with slim legs that go on forever, what's a man to do? Wanting the sweet girl next door is just wrong. The responsible thing to do is keep his hands off. Jaxi has other plans for Blake's hands - and his heart. She may have once considered him a big brother, but that was a long time ago.
Jaxi's all grown up now and ready to convince him that she's perfect for him. Except he can't seem to see past the big "do not touch" sign that's apparently still hanging around her neck. When Jaxi ends up living right under Blake's nose, the heat between them slides past simmer and leaps up to barn-burning levels. However, a few of the younger six-pack Colemans have decided that Jaxi's brand of trouble is worth risking a few busted bones. That is, if Blake's finally ready to let go of the reins and fight for what he wants...

This book was about the Coleman family, more specifically about the six Coleman brothers. In this installment the focus was on the eldest brother Blake, who fell in love with Jaxi, his younger brothers' childhood friend. Jaxi can't remember not being in love with Blake and acting accordingly, but he doesn't seem to react - until she declares war on him and takes things in her hands.Definitely, this could have been an entertaining book. However, I couldn't really enjoy it because it had no clear focus. Of course I understand that the plot tried to arrange short introductions of all the Coleman brothers, which was fine with me. But where were the character developments? Why were their characters and life experiences nearly exclusively limited to their sexual behavior?
The plot line was linear and solely based on and around fact that all brothers were more or less in love with or at least attracted to Jaxi. Why not - maybe she is that irresistible (??!!). But Jaxi's character development and description didn't reflect that.
Yes, there was fair warning in the books' blurb concerning the brothers' "liberal" sexual behavior (threesomes, voyeurism), but I didn't expect this to be so amateurishly dealt with. The biggest drawback for me was that Jaxi didn't react negatively to their advances, especially since these were nearly bording on incest. Not my case at all.
The romance between Blake and Jaxi was simplistic, without any ambience and unrewarding. It completely lacked emotional depth and was one-dimensional.
Generally speaking a disappointing read, without clear focus, which bordered at being incoherent and dealt with the sexual scenes in an inelegant and tasteless way.

Rocky Mountain Heat Six Pack Ranch Series Book 1 (Audible Audio Edition) Vivian Arend Tatiana Sokolov Tantor Audio Books Reviews
This book was meh. It was a freebie that introduced the H's five brothers that had an assortment of IMO deviant sexual behavior. I think Dr. Freud would have hit the mother lode with this family.
The h Let's start with the h who was the non-family member. The h was practically like family since she grew up with the H and his family. She had been in love with the H forever. She also dated the H's younger brother. The brother was about her age. The H felt that the 10 year age gap between the h and him was too much to overcome in a relationship. The h spent most of her young life studying subjects on how to be a rancher's wife and that included cooking, mending, nursing, etc. She wants the H to make a move.
Brother #1 aka the H The h is setting up the H to make a play for her so she allows herself to be molested publicly by the H's brothers in a pool hall challenge game with the H watching. The molestation includes touching body parts above and below the waist underneath her dress and the h is not wearing underwear. The H finally puts a stop to the game after the touching takes place, and drags her out to the parking lot and has sex with her knowing his brothers are watching. The H tells the h that he let his brothers watch because he wants them to know that she belongs to him.
Brothers #2 and #3 They are twins who like to ménage together and share one woman in bed and obviously into voyeurism. Guessing these brothers will have their own books with ménage in storyline and who knows what else.
Brother #4 The brother the h went out with in the early years has a secret and one of the reasons they broke up was because she was not enough for him. Guessing there is more ménage with this one in a separate book.
Brother #5 The brother has only been with his current girlfriend who will not make a commitment to live with him after, I think, 9 years. He loves her and tells her all the time and she does not reciprocate. She tells the brother that she wants a ménage with another male. The brother asks his cousin to be the third. The brother is jealous the entire time he sees the two in bed but participates. His cousin is hot.
Cousin #1 I am guessing the hot cousin who partakes in the menage will also have his own book.
The story spends a lot of time with setting up the brothers and the cousin for their own books and not enough time on developing the two central characters.
The book started out ok...but went uggg after the appearance of the clan...brothers and cousin. By the end of the book, I knew more about the family members than the two characters I liked. The book was like a bait and switch. Here are two pretty likeable characters, but they get buried in the story. I was expecting Cousin It to make an appearance.
This is without a doubt the most revolting piece of trash I have ever had the misfortune of reading. Themes of incest, menage, S&M, you name it and it is in here. Ranchers?? Really?? This makes Deliverance look like a picnic and a walk in the park. Brothers watching brothers have sex, cousins having a menage, two other brothers sandwiching a "virgin". All the while the sweet little gal Jaxi is whipping up cornbread and vittles, roping calfs, fixing fences, and helping out poor old Ma and Pa who hit a moose in their car and poor old Ma already had a broke arm. But hey, that is the way ranching life goes in Canada! WTF? Oh by the way, Jaxi also went to college to take pole dancing classes so she could catch her man and stay barefoot and pregnant her whole life. T R A S H
